Open Team Tournament

Our ninth annual Open Bass Tournament started on Thursday night, 11/8/2018, at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Anglers, tournament staff, friends and family members gathered for a meal, door prizes, and had the opportunity to hear a message presented by Gettys Brannon with BASS MEDIA. During the meeting, the Holy Spirit moved two attendees to rededicate their lives to Christ. Thanks to everyone who helped prepare the meal, the steak dinner and fixings were exceptional. Special thanks go to Julian Thigpen on his grilling expertise. We would like to thank Light House Baptist Church and Pastor Tim Bush for hosting our meeting.

Saturday was a beautiful day to fish. It was a little cool that morning, but warmed up fast. 68 boats blasted off at approximately 7:00 am after an early morning prayer in hopes of finding a big sack of fish. 47 of the 68 teams brought a five-fish limit to the scales at weigh-in. Coming in 1st was the team of Sterling Banks and Tyler Cole with 5 fish weighing 15.76 lbs. including the big bass of the tournament at 5.33 lbs.

We want to thank Chick-fil-A of Augusta for providing chicken sandwiches for all the fishermen following the tournament.
