1/28/2012 Lake Murray Results

Congratulations go to Mark Day for winning the first tournament of the year.

Mark caught 5 fish totaling 13-07 lbs. including the big fish of the tournament at 5-8 lbs.

The weather was warm for January with beautiful bright skies. Reports from some of the anglers had fish hitting shakey heads, pig/jigs and the Alabama Rig in shallow water.

2/25/2012 Lake Thurmond Results

Congratulations go to Bobby Griffin for winning the February tournament.

Bobby caught 5 fish totaling 11-06 lbs. including the big fish of the tournament at 5-7 lbs.

The weather was partly cloudy with gusting winds from the WNW between 15 – 25 mph. Reports from some of the anglers had fish hitting carolina rigs, small crank baits, and shakey heads. A great time and fellowship was enjoyed by all.

4/12/2011 – 4/14/2012 Tommy Youngblood Memorial Fishing Classic Results

Congratulations to Bobby Griffin for winning the 2012 classic. Over the three day event, Bobby weighed in 15 fish for a total of 32 lbs. Congratulations to Matthew Jones for catching the big bass of the tournament at 6 lbs - 04 oz.

20 individuals participated in the annual event. Rev. Jerry Broughton led the devotional on Thursday night and Rev. Tommy Richardson led the devotional on Friday night.

The weather was beautiful for all three days, cool temperatures in the morning but warming up during the day. Friday morning brought some fog early. Eleven double digit stringers were brought to the scales during the tournament. Reports indicated that bass were caught using various techniques including top water, flukes, wake baits, rattle traps, carolina rigs, and shakey heads. 159 bass were weighed in totaling 310 lbs. Some very good fishing and a great fellowship was enjoyed by all.
